Florian Klinger is an Associate Professor in Germanic Studies and the College at the University of Chicago. His research bridges philosophy, literature, and the arts to explore the question What is the human? He investigates aesthetic action as a mode of indeterminate rationality and its political implications, particularly in relation to social justice and the Anthropocene.
