Florian Girelli is Associate Professor and Associate Chair of Graduate Studies in Applied Mathematics at University of Waterloo. His research investigates loop quantum gravity, non-commutative geometry, and emergent gravity models.
He holds a PhD from Université de Provence and completed postdoctoral research in Sydney, SISSA, and Perimeter Institute. Research explores mathematical foundations of quantum gravity and phenomenological implications.
Current work examines teleparallel gravity symmetries and group field theory formulations. Affiliated with Perimeter Institute and Erlangen Institute of Quantum Gravity.
