Florian Gerstenberg

Prof. Dr. Florian Gerstenberg is a Professor and Dean of Business Administration (Bachelor) at the Faculty of Business Administration and Industrial Engineering, Leipzig University of Applied Sciences. He holds a Diplom-Kaufmann in Business Administration (University of Augsburg, 2002), an LL.M. in Taxation (University of Osnabrück, 2003), and a doctorate in political science (University of Augsburg, 2007). Since 2008, he has been a self-employed tax advisor and Partner at Dr. Große und Partner PartG, Augsburg (since 2010).

His academic responsibilities include teaching foundational taxation (income tax, corporate tax, trade tax, sales tax), accounting tax law, and company taxation. His research focuses on auditing and taxes, with specific interests in digitization of tax consulting, succession planning, double-entry bookkeeping in municipal accounting, and tax-optimal investment decisions. Office hours are coordinated via the OPAL learning platform by prior appointment.
