Flavio Frohlich

Flavio Frohlich, PhD, is a tenured Associate Professor at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, holding dual appointments in Psychiatry and Cell Biology & Physiology. He leads the Frohlich Lab and directs the Carolina Center for Neurostimulation, focusing on network neuroscience and translational neurotherapeutics. His work integrates neurobiological, engineering, and clinical approaches to develop novel treatments for psychiatric disorders. Key areas include non-invasive brain stimulation (e.g., tACS), neural oscillation dynamics, and closed-loop neuromodulation systems.
