Flavio D’Abramo

Flavio D’Abramo is a Research Fellow at the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Pollenzo (Italy) since 2023. His academic journey includes a PhD from La Sapienza University in Rome, followed by postdoctoral and visiting roles at institutions such as the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science in Berlin, Imperial College London, and the Free University Berlin. He specializes in interdisciplinary research blending epistemology, history of science, and bioethics to explore the intersections of food production systems, life sciences, medicine, and societal impact.

His research examines historical-epistemological trajectories of agricultural and medical technologies, their material and cultural influences on communities, and ethical dimensions of food production.
