Fiona Yeudall

Fiona Yeudall is an Associate Professor at the School of Nutrition, Toronto Metropolitan University, and Director of the Centre for Studies in Food Security. She holds a PhD in Human Nutrition (Otago University) and is a registered dietitian. Her research focuses on food security and urban agriculture in Canada, Malawi, and Uganda, evaluating interventions such as community gardening to improve dietary outcomes.

Her work explores the effectiveness of food-based practices, including urban gardening, and policy implementation barriers. Notable projects include the Ugrow Pilot Study in Toronto and collaborations in Kampala, Uganda.

Research Interests: Combining nutritional science with community-driven solutions, Yeudall examines health risks and benefits of urban agriculture, food policy strategies, and interdisciplinary approaches to food security. Her efforts bridge academic research with practical interventions to address systemic inequities in access to nutritious food.
