Fiona Webster, PhD, is a Professor in the Arthur Labatt Family School of Nursing at Western University. She holds cross-appointments as an Associate Professor at the University of Toronto’s Institute for Health Policy, Management and Evaluation (IHPME) and Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences (SBHS). Her research focuses on chronic pain management, health equity, and sociological approaches to healthcare, employing methods like institutional ethnography. She leads studies on marginalized populations and the social determinants of health, with funding from SSHRC and CIHR grants. Dr. Webster also investigates healthcare provider practices, opioid policy, and patient engagement frameworks. Her work bridges social science and clinical practice, advocating for systemic reforms in patient care delivery.
