Dr Fiona Shirani is a Research Fellow at Cardiff University's School of Social Sciences, specializing in qualitative longitudinal methods with a focus on energy and sustainability. Her research examines families, relationships, and societal transitions, particularly in low-carbon housing and energy systems. She has led projects like the Living Well in Low Carbon Homes study and the NEUPA initiative, exploring public acceptance and socio-technical challenges in decarbonization.
