Fiona McFarlane is an Associate Professor in the Department of English at the University of California, Berkeley. Her work focuses on narrative techniques in novels and creative writing, with notable publications including The Night Guest (2014), The High Places (2016), The Sun Walks Down (2023), and Highway Thirteen (2024). She teaches creative writing and literature courses, and her research explores themes of identity, memory, and moral ambiguity within contemporary and historical narratives.
