Fiona M. Palmer is Professor of Music at Maynooth University, Ireland, within the Department of Music (Faculty of Arts and Humanities). She previously served as Head of Department (2007–2014), Director of Research (2017–2021), and Director of the MA in Performance & Musicology programme (2018–2025). A musicologist and performer, she specializes in the cultural history of British music, conducting, and institutional dynamics from the 1780s to 1940s.
