Fiona Bogossian

Professor Fiona Bogossian is Deputy Dean of the School of Health at the University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC). She holds a PhD from Queensland University, a Master of Public Health from Griffith University, and advanced nursing/midwifery qualifications. With over 30 years of experience in tertiary education, her career spans roles as Professor of Practice Education in Health (since 2018) and Academic Lead at the Sunshine Coast Health Institute (SCHI) until 2022. She has led strategic initiatives merging health disciplines into the unified School of Health.

Her research focuses on perinatal health, health workforce development, and interprofessional education, with over 120 peer-reviewed publications and $4M+ in competitive grants. Notable projects include developing interprofessional education frameworks and co-designing clinical training programs. She has secured grants from bodies like the ARC, OLT, and SCHI Executive Board.

Awards include Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Churchill Fellowship, and Fellow of the Australian College of Midwives. She sits on national/international committees like Universitas 21 Deans of Nursing & Midwifery and ARC panels.
