Filipe Maia is an Associate Professor at the Department of Cell and Molecular Biology, Uppsala University, and serves as a LINXS Fellow within the Integrative Structural Biology Working Group and Biocomp initiative.
His research pioneers advanced diffractive imaging methodologies, particularly femtosecond-scale techniques at the European XFEL facility. Central to his work is replacing experimental physical constraints through sophisticated computational data analysis, leveraging exponential growth in data acquisition rates and high-performance computing.
