Filipa Ribeiro

Filipa Ribeiro is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Health Sciences and Nursing of Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP), where she teaches Neurosciences and Neuropsychology. She is also an Integrated Researcher at the Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Health (CIIS), focusing on executive functions in typical/atypical development and cognitive changes in aging.

• PhD in Health Sciences from the Faculty of Medicine of Lisbon
• Master’s in Biophysics (Faculty of Sciences of Lisbon) and Clinical Psychology (Faculty of Psychology of UCP)

Her research explores cognitive disorders in aging, neuropsychological assessment, and telehealth applications. Recent work includes scoping/systematic reviews on topics like androgen deprivation therapy effects, inhibitory control, and VR-based neurofeedback for symptom relief.

She supervises students and participates in projects like DemenPrev (funded by Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia) and Transcranial Alternating Current Stimulation for memory improvement. Her collaborations span institutions in Portugal and beyond, with a focus on interdisciplinary health research.
