Filipa Figueira is a Lecturer (Teaching) at the School of Slavonic and East European Studies (SSEES), University College London (UCL). She also serves as a Senior Adjunct Researcher at the Brussels School of Governance (BSoG) at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) and a Senior Member of UCL's Centre for New Economic Transitions (CNET). Her expertise spans public policy, EU policymaking, and interdisciplinary research combining political and economic frameworks.

Research Interests: Bounded rationality in EU policymaking, policy transfer of homelessness practices, populism, UK-EU relations, and the allocation of policy competences between EU and national levels. Her work often bridges political science and public economics.
Professional Experience: Previously a researcher at the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS), lecturer at the Berlin School of Economics and Law, and consultant for EU institutions and think tanks like GPlus Europe and the European Policy Centre (EPC). Engaged in high-quality private tuition and European research consultancy.
Labs/Teams: Active in the SSEES-based Centre for New Economic Transitions (CNET) and contributes to the Brussels School of Governance (BSoG).
