Fernando Kay Johnson is a Distinguished Senior Lecturer in the Department of Art and Art History at UT Arlington's College of Liberal Arts. An artist and educator with over 10 years of DFW arts community involvement, his practice explores intersections between material, process, and form through sculpture and installation.
Education: MFA (Sculpture) from Texas Christian University, BFA (Drawing/Painting) from University of North Texas.
Teaching Approach: Johnson creates laboratory-like studio environments emphasizing experimentation, interdisciplinary processes, and critical discourse. He coordinates the sculpture area and mentors graduate students.
