Fernando Harinda is the Wayne and Diana Murdy Professor of Civil Engineering and Geological Sciences at the University of Notre Dame's College of Engineering. Previously, he held professorial roles at Arizona State University (1984–2010), including Director of the Center for Environmental Fluid Dynamics (1994–2009). His research focuses on fluid mechanics, urban air pollution, and sustainability engineering. He earned his PhD in Fluid Mechanics from Johns Hopkins University (1983).
