Dr. Fernando Garcia is an Associate Professor of Management and holds the Dalton State Foundation Endowed Chair in Management at Dalton State College's School of Arts and Sciences. He is also the Director of the Office of International Education. His academic journey includes a D.B.A. from Kennesaw State University (2016), an M.B.A. (2009), a B.S. from Dalton State College (2005), and a B.S. from Universidad Nacional de Ingenieria (1992).
His research focuses on management, organizational behavior, and international business. Key areas include employee empowerment, global mindset development through COIL, multinational subsidiary crisis adaptation, and entrepreneurship in emerging markets like Peru. His work bridges academic contributions with practical applications, such as the Latino Community Needs Assessment Project and collaborative international programs.
Recent publications emphasize organizational behavior and international business challenges, including studies on Venezuela and Peru. Earlier work explored calculus's role in business education.
