Fernando Castro Ortiz is a Lecturer at Northwestern University specializing in Spanish language instruction and Hispanic linguistics. He holds a B.A. in Translation and Interpretation (English/Italian) and an M.A. in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language from Spain, complemented by an M.A. in Hispanic Linguistics from the University of Iowa.
His research focuses on sociolinguistics, applied linguistics, and Spanish for specific professional purposes. He has over 15 years of teaching experience across the U.S. and Spain, designing courses on Spanish language, Hispanic culture, and linguistics.
