Fernando Bouza

Fernando Bouza is a Professor at the Complutense University of Madrid who delivered the 2008 guest lecture series Heterrographies: forms of writing in the Spanish Golden Age under Roger Chartier's chair on Writing and Cultures in Modern Europe at Amphithéâtre Guillaume Budé.

His research examines writing practices during Spain's cultural zenith through interdisciplinary lenses:

• Handwriting as publication mechanism
• Authorless books and reader agency
• Royal/aristocratic translation practices

This work bridges literary history, material culture studies, and sociolinguistics within early modern Iberian contexts.
