Ferenc Jankó is a Habilitated Associate Professor at the Institute of Geography and Earth Sciences of Eötvös Loránd University. He serves as a lecturer in both the Department of Social and Economic Geography and the Center of Geography, focusing on environmental communication, climate change discourse, and the historical-geopolitical evolution of regions like Burgenland.
His research spans geopolitical transitions, media representation of environmental crises, and urban-rural dynamics in Central Europe. Notable work includes analyses of climate change skepticism, forest management adaptation, and the cultural-political mapping of contested regions.
