Dr. Fengling Tang is a Senior Lecturer in Early Childhood Studies at the University of Roehampton, UK, affiliated with the School of Education and the Research Centre for Learning, Teaching and Human Development. She holds a PhD from the University of Roehampton and has extensive experience in early childhood education, having worked in China and London prior to her academic role. She is Programme Leader for the Froebel Professional Certificate in Early Childhood and a member of professional bodies such as the Froebel Trust and British Educational Research Association (BERA).
Her research focuses on children’s identities, spirituality, equity, Froebelian perspectives, and sustainability in education. Notable projects include studies on youth environmental activism (funded by BERA) and spirituality in early childhood pedagogy (funded by the Froebel Trust). She has published widely in journals like Power and Education and co-authored the book Young Children's Identities: A Multi-Disciplinary Perspective (Routledge, 2025).
