Feng Zhao is an Associate Professor of Management at the Naveen Jindal School of Management, University of Texas at Dallas. He holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Economics from Cornell University (2004 and 2002) and a B.S. in Economics and Physics from Tsinghua University (1998). His research focuses on asset pricing, fixed income securities, continuous-time finance, credit risk, and behavioral finance. He has contributed to understanding topics like interest rate derivatives, financial econometrics, and real estate markets.
His academic appointments include roles at Rutgers Business School and Fordham University. Notable awards include the Russell-Sage Fellowship and recognition for a Best Paper Award at the 2013 Asian Conference of the Financial Management Association International. Zhao’s teaching spans fixed income analysis, derivatives markets, and mathematical finance at both undergraduate and PhD levels, with strong student evaluations.
His work has been presented at major conferences, including the Econometric Society meetings and the Derivatives Securities and Risk Management Conference. Research highlights include studies on unspanned stochastic volatility, mortgage-backed securities, and the impact of investor behavior on financial markets.
