Feng Wang is the Scharlau Endowed Professor & Distinguished Professor in Physical Chemistry at the University of Arkansas within the College of Arts & Sciences, where he has been since 2012, advancing from Assistant Professor to Professor in 2018.

His research focuses on Computational Chemistry, Molecular Dynamics, and Theoretical Modeling of water and aqueous systems, with particular emphasis on force field development, hydration free energies, and supercooled water behavior. He also explores Nanotechnology applications in bioorganic systems and plasmonic materials.
His recent publications span Physical Chemistry, Materials Science, and Computational Modeling, with key contributions to understanding water anomalies, ion hydration, and nanoparticle assembly. Articles highlight adaptive force matching, hydrophobic interactions, and plasmonic optical properties.
