Feng Liu

Feng Liu, M.D., Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and the Department of Pediatrics (Developmental Medicine) at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She is also an attending psychiatrist at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein. Her clinical practice focuses on diagnosing and treating children with psychiatric, behavioral, and developmental disorders, emphasizing advanced pharmacological interventions for severe mental health conditions in developmentally delayed populations.

Dr. Liu completed her M.D. at Tongji Medical University (China, 1985) and a Ph.D. in biology at SUNY Binghamton (1993). She trained in psychiatry residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore (2001) and completed a child & adolescent psychiatry fellowship at NYU School of Medicine/Bellevue Hospital (2003).

Her research investigates psychopharmacological treatments for comorbid psychiatric disorders (e.g., ADHD, mood disorders) in children with developmental disabilities. This work has been disseminated through peer-reviewed publications and scientific conferences.

Dr. Liu holds board certifications in Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and is fluent in English and Chinese.
