Dr. Feng Li is a Professor and William Robert Mills Chair in Equine Infectious Diseases at the Gluck Equine Research Center, University of Kentucky. He holds a PhD from the University of Melbourne (1997) and focuses on virology, equine health, and infectious diseases. His research includes discovering bovine influenza viruses and developing HIV-1 inhibitors and equine vaccines.
Research Interests: Dr. Li specializes in equine infectious diseases, viral pathogenesis, and vaccine development. His work spans influenza viruses, rotavirus in horses, and immune responses in veterinary medicine.
Key Projects: Includes NIAID-funded influenza research, equine rotavirus vaccine development, and studies on influenza viruses in guinea pigs. Recent publications highlight vaccine safety, maternal antibody transfer, and monoclonal antibody efficacy.
