Femke Borst is a Researcher in the Department of Education at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Utrecht University, working on the NWO-funded VIDI project 'Mind the Gap' (2023-2027) investigating educational inequalities in primary education.
Her academic background includes a Bachelor's in Sociology (2021), Research Master's in Child Development & Education (2023), and Master's in Special Education (2024), all from the University of Amsterdam. Her research examines how teachers' differential practices affect achievement gaps between children from diverse socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds, focusing on student motivation and engagement within the Dynamics of Youth (DoY) framework.
