Felix Witing

Felix Witing is a Researcher at the Department of Computational Landscape Ecology, Helmholtz-Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ), where he works on integrated modeling and optimization for land-use and bioenergy systems. His career spans roles in EU Horizon 2020 projects like OPTAIN and BiodivERsA projects like CROSSLINK, focusing on trade-off analysis, ecosystem services, and bioenergy sustainability.

His projects include EU H2020 OPTAIN (water-nutrient retention), CROSSLINK (cross-habitat linkages), and collaborations with the German Biomass Research Centre (DBFZ) and Saxon authorities. He has supervised Bachelor theses on sediment load analysis and LAI modeling in SWAT.
