Felix TROPF is a Research Professor at CREST-ENSAE (Institut Polytechnique de Paris) and holds an Assistant Professor role in Social Science Genetics. He is affiliated with Nuffield College (Oxford) as an Associate member and serves as a Visiting Scientist at the Queensland Institute for Medical Research (QIMR) in Australia. His research focuses on social demography, genetics, and life course studies, particularly exploring how genetic factors explain societal inequalities in wealth, health, and family planning through his ERC-funded FINDME project.
He teaches courses in Demography and Social Science Genetics across ENSAE Paris' engineering program and Master's programs in Actuarial Science and Data Science. His work has been published in high-impact journals such as Nature Genetics, Demography, and JAMA Psychiatry.
Key achievements include the European Demography Award for his PhD thesis and the prestigious ERC Starting Grant, enabling him to lead research teams and investigate interdisciplinary social science genetics topics. His research bridges statistical models, genetics, and societal outcomes.
