Felix Cowan

Felix Cowan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of History at the University of Toronto. His research focuses on political culture, urban history, and everyday life in the Russian Empire and Soviet Union. He authored the monograph The Kopeck Press: Popular Journalism in Revolutionary Russia, 1908-1918 (2025), analyzing grassroots media to trace early democratic culture.
