Mr. Fekede Gindaba is an Adjunct Professor at the University of the Potomac (UOTP), where he chairs the Accounting and Finance Department and teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in accounting and finance. He concurrently serves as the Deputy Assistant Inspector General for Audits (DAIGA) within the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) for the District of Columbia. In this role, he oversees independent audits addressing corruption, fraud, waste, and mismanagement in government programs.
Education: Mr. Gindaba holds an MBA from Maharishi University of Management, Fairfield, Iowa, USA. Born in Ethiopia, he moved to the U.S. for advanced studies, obtaining permanent residency in 2009 and U.S. citizenship in 2013.
Professional Experience: Prior to his D.C. Government tenure, he held leadership roles in auditing and financial management across public, private, and international sectors. He has advised institutions on audit implementation and financial practices for programs funded by global bodies like the United Nations, European Commission, African Union, World Bank, and USAID.
Memberships: Active certified member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (NY, USA), Association of Inspectors General (NY, USA), and Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (Glasgow, UK).
