Federico Bernardini is a Research Fellow at Ca' Foscari University of Venice's Department of Humanistic Studies. He specializes in applying scientific methods to archaeology, with a focus on 3D non-destructive characterization of ancient materials using X-ray computed microtomography (microCT). His work bridges archaeology, paleoanthropology, and paleontology through advanced imaging techniques.
- PhD in Ancient History (Prehistoric specialization) from Trieste University
His research interests include heritage science, material analysis, and visualization techniques for archaeological collections. As a LINXS Fellow, he contributes to the Heritage Science theme through Working Groups 1 (Fieldwork & Collections) and 5 (Visualization).
