Federica Tramer Maffioli

Federica Tramer Maffioli is a Professor at the Department of Life Sciences, University of Trieste. She actively contributes to both research and teaching, serving in roles such as a Department Council member and participant in Course of Study Recommendations for Biological Sciences and Environmental/Nature programs.

Her research focuses on Nutritional Biochemistry and Biomedicine, particularly the molecular mechanisms by which plant-derived compounds influence cellular responses and health. She leads the project TARGETING SIGMA-1 RECEPTORS TO TREAT COGNITIVE DYSFUNCTION INDUCED BY NORADRENERGIC LOSS as Scientific Manager, funded by AB ANALITICA SRL, and collaborates on AGROTUR+ Local Products and Tourism in the Karst.
