Federica PASSI

Federica PASSI is an Associate Professor at Ca' Foscari University of Venice, affiliated with the Department of Asian and North African Studies and the Interdepartmental School of Economics, Languages and Entrepreneurship (Treviso branch). She holds the role of Director's Delegate for Teacher Training and Teaching Innovation. Her research focuses on modern and contemporary Chinese and Taiwanese literature, translation studies, and cultural studies.

Teaching responsibilities include courses on Chinese language, translation methodologies (for editorial and literary contexts), and intercultural communication. Research projects include Spotlight Taiwan Project (funded by Taiwan's Ministry of Culture) and initiatives on intercultural education in secondary schools. She is fluent in Chinese and English at an advanced level.

Recent publications explore Taiwanese literary reception in Italy, translation sociology, and cultural dynamics in East Asia. Her work bridges literary theory with practical translation challenges, emphasizing cultural mediation between Asia and Europe.
