Federica Finetti is an Associate Professor at the Department of Biotechnology, Chemistry and Pharmacy, University of Siena. Her research focuses on pharmacology, cancer biology, and oxidative stress regulation, with a particular emphasis on molecular mechanisms in diseases like Cerebral Cavernous Malformations and dual-target therapies for cancer progression.
Recent publications highlight her work on bioresponsive drug delivery systems, natural compounds (e.g., Phaseolus vulgaris) modulating cancer cell growth and inflammation, and the interplay between prostaglandin E2 and EGFR signaling pathways. Her studies span biochemical, physiological, and pharmacological aspects of redox signaling and autophagy.
She teaches General Pharmacology and Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapy courses at the University of Siena, contributing to pharmacy and pharmaceutical chemistry programs. Her research integrates organic chemistry, molecular biology, and translational approaches for controlled drug release and cancer therapy.
