Faye Lowry is a Senior Lecturer in Perioperative Studies at Edge Hill University, affiliated with the Allied Health, Social Work & Wellbeing school. She holds a BSc in Clinical and Professional Perioperative Practice (2019), a DipHE in Operating Department Practice (2011), and a PGCert in Simulation and Clinical Learning (2020).
Her research focuses on perioperative care for pediatric patients, anesthesia practices, and effective patient safety strategies. She addresses common misconceptions in clinical settings and adaptation techniques for perioperative teams.
Her 2022 publication in Fundamentals of Operating Department Practice explores pediatric perioperative care challenges. She currently serves as an External Verifier for ODP Apprenticeship Assessments at Birmingham City University.
Professional activities include peer-reviewing for the Journal of perioperative practice and membership in the Resuscitation Council (UK) since 2017.
