Faye Hendry is a Senior Lecturer (Scholarship) in English and Literacy in Education at the School of Education, University of Aberdeen, since 2023. She serves as PGDE Secondary Assessment Co-ordinator and previously held roles as Lecturer (Scholarship) at the same institution from 2018-2023, including PGDE Secondary Programme Director (2020-2023). Prior to academia, she worked as Assistant Head of English (2016-2018) and English Teacher (2011-2016) at Robert Gordon's College, and as a Teacher of English at Portree High School (2010-2011).

Recent publications analyze assessment skill development, virtual observations during pandemics, and critical reflection frameworks in teacher training.
