Dr. Fay Hudson is a Senior Research Fellow at the School of Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications, University of New South Wales (UNSW). She works in the research group of Prof. Andrew Dzurak, focusing on silicon device micro- and nanofabrication for quantum computation and silicon nanoelectronics. Additionally, she serves as Process Manager for the NSW node of the Australian National Fabrication Facility (ANFF), providing technical training and operational support across multiple nanofabrication projects.
Her research spans quantum computing and nanofabrication, with over 85 journal articles focusing on silicon spin qubits, quantum dot arrays, and cryogenic CMOS integration. She investigates topics like non-Markovian quantum processes, entanglement scaling, and Schrödinger cat state generation in silicon systems. Her work addresses critical challenges in qubit fidelity, error mitigation, and scalable quantum architectures.
Dr. Hudson's recent publications demonstrate expertise in quantum control protocols, spin qubit transport, and noise characterization using advanced tomography and wavelet analysis. Her technical focus includes improving interdot coupling, spin-orbit interactions, and electrical control mechanisms for quantum applications in silicon-based systems.
