Dr. Fawn Gordon (she/her) is an Assistant Professor at Ursuline College, a liberal arts institution in Pepper Pike, Ohio. She holds a PhD and is licensed as a Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). Her academic journey began with a BA in psychology and sociology from Kent State University, followed by an MAEd and PhD from the University of Akron, where her doctoral research explored the relationship between social support and collective self-esteem in women.
Dr. Gordon actively contributes to professional organizations, serving as president-elect and secretary for the North Central Ohio Counseling (NCOCA) Chapter and co-chairing the Ohio Graduate Student Committee. She also maintains a part-time private counseling practice with a focus on integrating nature into the therapeutic process.
Her research interests include clinical psychology, social support systems, collective self-esteem dynamics, and innovative counseling methodologies that incorporate natural environments.
