Fausto Dardi

Fausto Dardi is an Associate Lecturer at Birkbeck's School of Creative Arts, Culture and Communication for the 2023-24 academic year. He concurrently holds roles as Teaching Associate in Italian at the University of Sheffield (MLTC) and Tutor of Italian at Durham University (CFLS LFA). Prior to Birkbeck, he served as Associate Lecturer in Italian at Newcastle University and Northumbria University, alongside Teaching Assistant roles at Durham University, focusing on Italian language modules and MA Translation Studies.

His research interests span Italian Language and Culture, Translation Studies (including Translation and Cognition, Idiom/Metaphor Translation), Linguistics, Pragmatics, and Sociolinguistics. He teaches modules such as Italian 4 (Level 4) at Birkbeck.
