Fatma Salem, LCMHC, NCC, is a dually licensed mental health counselor and a Teaching Professor at Antioch University New England's School of Counseling, Psychology, and Therapy. She also serves as an Adjunct Professor at Fisher College and Southern New Hampshire University, focusing on online counselor education.

Dr. Salem's research focuses on trauma-informed care, anxiety disorders, OCD, couples and family counseling, and multicultural competence. She actively bridges gaps in counselor education through trauma-focused pedagogy, DEI integration, and advocacy for student/faculty support.
Her recent articles reveal trends in online learning environments, AI applications for counselor education, and the importance of social connection in virtual higher education. These works emphasize digital pedagogy, trauma-informed interventions, and inclusive educational practices.

Dr. Salem has served as Graduate Student Representative for ACES (2021-2023) and currently acts as Secretary-elect for NARACES. She teaches courses like Psychopathology, Evidence-Based Treatment for Trauma, and Social and Cultural Foundations, while maintaining clinical licensure in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
