Fatima Suarez is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at UNLV, specializing in gender, family structures, and Latino communities. Her forthcoming book Latino Fathers: What Shapes and Sustains Their Parenting (NYU Press, 2025) analyzes cultural narratives around fatherhood based on 60 interviews. Research has been supported by Ford Foundation and Mellon fellowships. She teaches undergraduate courses on Latinx experiences and graduate seminars on intersectionality. Public sociology contributions appear in The New York Times and Stanford's Gender News.
