Fatih Harpci is an Associate Professor of Religion at Carthage College. He teaches five Islamic studies courses that have become popular offerings at the institution. Born and raised in Turkey, his academic expertise centers on Islamic history, eschatology, and Christian-Muslim relations, with a focus on inter-religious dialogue.
- Education: B.A. in Theology from Marmara University, MATS from Moravian Theological Seminary, and Ph.D. in Islamic Studies from Temple University.
His research explores Prophet Muhammad’s Hadiths about Jesus, particularly the theological implications of Jesus’ second coming in Islamic eschatology. Prof. Harpci has authored The Necessity for Interfaith Dialogue and co-authored the two-volume work Prophet Muhammad: The Sultan of Hearts. He actively participates in community dialogues and has commented on global issues like hate crimes in media outlets such as Kenosha News and WUWM 89.7 Milwaukee.
