Dr. Farzad Arabikhan is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Computing, University of Portsmouth, and a member of the Portsmouth AI and Data Science Centre and the Centre for Healthcare Modelling & Informatics. He holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence (focusing on telecommuting predictive models) and an MSc in Transportation Systems and Planning from Sharif University of Technology. His research interests span Computational Intelligence (including fuzzy logic, neural networks, and genetic algorithms), Intelligent Transportation Systems, and Activity-Based Transport Modelling. He currently teaches courses in Practical Data Science, Computer Architecture, Network Fundamentals, and off-campus transportation engineering units.
His research outputs emphasize machine learning applications in healthcare informatics, cybersecurity, and food science, alongside foundational work in fuzzy systems and federated learning.
