Faris Kronfli is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Florida. He serves as the program coordinator for the Behavior Analysis Research Clinic’s school-based consultation program. His research focuses on behavioral interventions for individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), emphasizing social skills development, classroom management, and transition support to adulthood.
Dr. Kronfli holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Florida (2019) and a Master’s in Behavior Analysis from the University of Maryland Baltimore County (2014). His work has been recognized with awards such as the 2018 B.F. Skinner Foundation Award and the 2023 Charles Kimber Public Service Award.
His research interests include the assessment and treatment of challenging behaviors, social skills interventions, and effective classroom strategies. He has developed programs to enhance assent in treatment, optimize learning outcomes using reinforcement strategies, and improve job interview skills for adults with ASD through remote instruction.
Awards include the 2018 B.F. Skinner Foundation Florida Graduate Student Research Award, 2019 Christopher Rubow Memorial Award, and 2023 Charles Kimber Public Service Award. His contributions to applied behavior analysis include advancing methodologies in preference assessment, functional communication training, and behavioral consultation in rural schools.
