Faridah Awang

Faridah Awang, Ph.D., serves as Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs and Professor at Eastern Kentucky University (EKU). She holds a Ph.D. from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale and completed leadership training at Harvard Business School. Her research focuses on Diversity & Inclusion in business education, Ethical Leadership, Remote Learning strategies, and Holistic Education frameworks. She has published extensively on topics including philanthropy in education, pandemic-era teaching methods, and multiculturalism in business contexts. Her awards include EKU’s Critical Thinking Teacher of the Year and the Jack L. Dyer Outstanding Teaching Award.

Dr. Awang is affiliated with the National Business Education Association and leads the Faridah Awang Scholars Program, Inc. Her work emphasizes program assessment, technology integration in classrooms, and fostering inclusive educational environments. She has contributed to peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of Research in Business Education and the Business Teacher Education Journal.
