Farah Huzair is a Lecturer in Science, Technology and Innovation Studies at the University of Edinburgh's School of Social and Political Science. She specializes in governance, innovation, and policy in life sciences, with a focus on genomics, biotechnology, and vaccine development.
Her academic background includes an undergraduate degree in Biology and Economics, MSc in Trade and Economic Development, and MSc in Technology Strategy Research. She completed her PhD at the Open University on agricultural biotechnology innovation in Hungary.

Her research explores intersections between innovation systems, regulatory frameworks, and global health equity, particularly in resource-constrained settings. Recent publications address vaccine safety, pharmacogenomics, and metadata governance for sustainable development.
She teaches courses including 'Technology in Society' and serves as Programme Director for the MSc in Management of Bioeconomy, Innovation and Governance. Farah also contributes to the Innogen Institute's research activities.
