Dr. Farah Faizal serves as a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Commonwealth Studies, University of London. As the first Maldivian woman to earn a Ph.D., she specializes in Small Island Developing States (SIDS) with expertise spanning climate change, democracy, human rights, and women's roles in international relations.
Her research focuses on the intersection of climate vulnerability, democratic governance, and human rights in SIDS contexts. Dr. Faizal has pioneered work on Feminist Foreign Policy applications for island nations and developed innovative frameworks for Climate Education in vulnerable communities.
