Fanny Kassel

Fanny Kassel is a Research Director at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), affiliated with the Alexander Grothendieck Laboratory at the Institut des Hautes Études Scientifiques (IHES). Her research bridges discrete subgroups of Lie groups, geometry, and dynamics, with emphasis on convex projective geometry, pseudo-Riemannian structures, and Anosov representations. She leads the ERC Starting Grant DiGGeS and organizes the monthly seminar Geometry and Discrete Groups at IHES.

Her work explores the interplay between geometric group theory, dynamical systems, and homogeneous spaces, addressing:
