Fanny Dolansky is an Associate Professor of Classics and Archaeology at Brock University, specializing in Roman social history, Latin literature, and religious practices. She serves as Graduate Program Director and is affiliated with the Centre for Medieval and Renaissance Studies. Her research focuses on Roman family rituals, childhood studies, and material culture, with particular attention to religious rites like the Parentalia and Saturnalia. Dolansky holds a PhD from the University of Chicago and has published extensively on Roman education, gender roles, and ancient disasters. She teaches courses on Latin language and literature, including Ovid’s Fasti and Caesar’s works. Recognized with the 2011 Brock Excellence in Teaching Award, she advises MA projects on Latin pedagogy and actively participates in academic service roles such as Vice President of the Niagara Peninsula Society of the Archaeological Institute of America.
