Fangying Wang

Dr. Fangying Wang is a Senior Lecturer in Structural/Earthquake Engineering at the Civil Engineering and Management department. Her expertise lies in low-carbon structural solutions, sustainable materials, and multi-hazard resilience for offshore structures. She has secured over £2 million in research funding since 2020 and leads projects like the Machine Learning-Driven Optimization of Hybrid Steel-Concrete Systems for Offshore Wind Turbine Towers. She actively contributes to standards committees such as BSI B/525/4 and CEN/TC 250/SC4. Her teaching includes modules like Earthquake Engineering and Advanced Structural Analysis.
